The Secretary had asked that the meeting consider whether there needed to be a maximum cost for future events in the light of his current enquiries indicating that most clubs are charging in excess of £50 for the sort of package the Society looks for. This was briefly debated by the meeting and led to Rob Thompson suggesting that (in the light of the Secretarys acknowledged best efforts to produce a varied, enjoyable and cost-effective programme) the Society should both thank him for his endeavours and support his judgement in securing next years fixtures. This was met with universal approval from all those present. 9. CHRISTMAS CUP It was noted that the Secretary would be confirming the venue for the final event of the 2024 season in the next few weeks. 10. MEETING CLOSED The meeting was declared closed at 6.45pm
